Associate Attorney
  • Profile

Held Law Firm’s Associate attorney Jonathan Baumgartner has lived in Knoxville, Tennessee for his whole life and proudly states that he was “born and raised” in the Scruffy City. From an early age, Jonathan enjoyed reading, writing, and creating fictional worlds. Those who have guided Jonathan have always told him he had a talent for writing.

In 2019, Jonathan graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, and a minor in American History. Jonathan’s love of writing and a desire to help people led him to pursue a law career. With the political science and American history background, and a desire to assist people, he attended and graduated Lincoln Memorial University Duncan School of Law in 2023. During his time in law school, Jonathan participated in mediation clinics and Rule 31 mediation training. It was during this time that Jonathan discovered a love for Wills and Estates. While new to the legal profession, Jonathan uses his schooling, internship, and penmanship to achieve his dream of helping others.

Jonathan’s biggest goal is to help those in need to prepare for the future. To do so, Jonathan drafts Wills and handles Trusts and Estates for clients. Jonathan also handles any disputes that may arise out of the probate process to assure people that things will be handled properly.
As a writer, Jonathan loves to draft legal documents and continues to develop his writing skills while working for the firm.

When he is not handling legal paperwork, Jonathan enjoys collecting vinyl records, organizing online video game tournaments, being involved in church, and taking care of his dog Ripley.
