Held Law Firm Paralegal Abigail Isaacs has a secret title within the office: The Queen of Files. She is responsible for drafting subpoenas and pleadings, preparing discovery and trial exhibits, filing documents with the court, assisting clients with budgets, managing the filing system for the firm and more.
She is an essential part to the Held Law Firm team, not only because she manages clients’ casework, but her work ethic is grounded in helping others either directly, or indirectly through her attorneys. She says that her goal is to help them help you.
“I know that attorneys usually overload themselves, and it helps to have someone that can keep them organized and on track, but I love speaking with clients as well; I like to be able to have that one-on-one,” Abigail says.
For Abigail, her drive originates from her own experiences.
“I have been divorced, so I know what that is like,” Abigail says. “It was an abusive relationship, and I didn’t feel like there was any way out of it. Once I found out that I could, I realized that there are other individuals who are stuck in the same situation. When clients come in, even if it’s for a consultation, I want them to know that you’re not stuck and that there are resources.”
Abigail brings a wide range of expertise to our office. In addition to working in family law, she has experience aiding attorneys in probate, contract, intellectual property and employment law.
Abigail is native of Knoxville, TN. She earned her B.A. in Anthropology with a concentration in disasters, displacements and human rights from the University of Tennessee in 2017. She can usually be found diligently working at her desk, assisting clients or providing a helping hand to anyone she encounters.
